Tucson99s Pound Rides
Each Spring the Tucson99s (International Organization of Women Pilots) organizes a fundraiser event at Ryan Field airport that offers 20 minute airplane rides for mere cents per pound, to help raise money for Aviation Scholarships for Women. Participants weigh in for their rides, and enjoy food, refreshments and entertainment - such as appearances by Star Wars characters in full costume. This event is a great family outting, and the kids love it!
